Closing the Gap Prime Ministers Report 2018

View Resource

Closing the Gap (CtG) is an Australian Government strategy (2008–2030) that aims to reduce disadvantage among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with respect to life expectancy, child mortality, access to early childhood education, educational achievement, and employment outcomes. It is a formal commitment made by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to achieve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health equality within 25 years. The CtG Prime Ministers Report 2018 is a review, 10 years on from the start of the strategy, aimed at assessing the most significant national effort to date to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
